Alterations

PatrickMoor sport coats have been designed so that minor alterations can be easily made. The sleeves and length can be adjusted by approximately 3 cm. Because of the straight cut of the sides it is also possible to make adjustments to the shoulders and width of the sport coat.

Getting started

- select a sport coat you already own which fits you really well
- use a tape measure- NOT a ruler

1. Measurements taken from your sport coat (PLEASE LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE DIAGRAMS)

Shoulders:
- lay your coat face down on a smooth surface
- measure where the shoulder and sleeve seams join, from one side to the other

Half Shoulders
- measure along the seam from the shoulder to where the seam meets the neck

Length
- measure down the back seam from where the back seam meets the bottom of the collar to the bottom of the coat
- it will be easier to do this measure if someone holds the coat upright

Sleeve
- measure from the point of the shoulder to the bottom of the sleeve
- it will be easier to do this measure if someone holds the coat upright

Chest
- lay the sport coat on a flat surface, facing up
- measure right across the chest, holding the tape 1 cm. under each armpit

2. Measurements taken from your body (PLEASE LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE DIAGRAMS)

Waist
- hold the tape right around your waist (where your belt sits). Make sure it is straight
- leave enough space on the tape to fit one finger between your waist and the tape

Hips
- measure right around the widest part of your hips. Make sure the tape is straight
- leave enough space on the tape to fit one finger between your body and the tape

NOTE:

To ensure the measurements are accurate

- take the measurements 2 or 3 times to make sure they are correct
- ask someone else to take the measurements, to see if they agree with your measurements
